Resolution 13207CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 13207 RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO THE VOLUNTEERS FOR THE CITY OF ALAMEDA WHEREAS, Volunteers for the City of Alameda continue to bring dedication and energy to the City and, at the same time, provide much needed services to the community by their generous contribution of their time, talent and special skills; and WHEREAS, the Volunteer Program provides citizens with an opportunity to learn about their City government, meet new people and gain valuable experience while contributing significantly to the improvement of their community; and WHEREAS, the City departments have not only been provided with much needed additional help but have enjoyed meeting and working with the volunteers; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to recognize and pay tribute to the valuable contributions of the City of Alameda Volunteers and the Volunteer Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda that they recognize the City's Volunteers, and proudly support the City of Alameda Volunteer Program. This City Council thanks and commends the devoted Volunteers for their outstanding efforts. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of April , 2000, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, DeWitt, Johnson, Kerr and Mayor Appezzato - 5.
