Resolution 13222CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 13222 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND /OR HIS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE TO NEGOTIATE IN THE OPEN MARKET PURSUANT TO SECTION 3 -15 OF THE CITY CHARTER FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE OFFICER'S CLUB BUILDING ROOF REPAIR PROJECT, NO. P.W. 05- 00 -08. WHEREAS, examination of the roof of the Officer's Club Building current conditions indicates there is need for immediate repairs; and WHEREAS, a major storm will cause considerable damage to the above areas if not repaired immediately; and WHEREAS, open market negotiation is suggested to complete construction of the project before the rainy season; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3 -15 of the City Charter, the Council may, by four (4) votes determine that the great necessity or emergency requires immediate action and thereupon proceed to acq *lire a contractor in the open market to make necessary repairs; and WHEREAS, allocation of $380,000 from Alameda Reuse and Redevelopment Authority (ARRA) bonds is required for the project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda, by four (4) affirmative votes and pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter, the City Council hereby allocate $380,000 from ARRA bonds and authorizes the City Manager and/or his authorized representative to enter into an open market contract for the Officer's Club Building Roof Repair Project, No. P.W. 05- 00 -08. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th day of June 2000, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, DeWitt, Johnson, Kerr and Mayor Appezzato - 5.
