Resolution 13278CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO 13 2 7 8 AMENDING MASTER FEE RESOLUTION NO. 12191 TO SIMPLIFY BUILDING SERVICES FEES AND ADJUST BASIS FOR COST RECOVERY OF FIRE AND PUBLIC WORK FEES WHEREAS, the Alameda Municipal Code and the California Government Code provide that the City Council shall set fees reasonable to recover costs of providing various services; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1928, adopted by City Council on June 30, 1978, City of Alameda fees are adjusted annually based on the Consumer price Index (CPI); and WHEREAS, the City Council, at the August 27, 1991 Special City Council meeting, directed City staff to amend the Alameda Municipal Code to reflect that City fees shall be set by City Council resolution; and WHEREAS, City of Alameda Resolution No. 12191 ( "Master Fee Resolution "), adopted by the City Council on February 2, 1992, as amended, codifies existing fees for various services and permits; and WHEREAS, the proposed Fire, Building Services and Public Works fee increases are necessary to generate additional revenue and to simplify fee calculations, and are based on the actual cost to the City to provide the services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE If RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that the Master Fee Resolution be amended by the adoption of the fees attached hereto as Attachment A (Method for Calculating Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical Peiuiit and Plan Check Fees), Attachment B (Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical Permit Fees), Attachment C (Fire Inspection/Prevention Fees) and Attachment D (Public Works Miscellaneous Fees). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all existing fees not inconsistent with fees set forth in this Resolution shall remain in effect.
