Resolution 13426CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 13426 APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE FINAL DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE) PROGRAM AND ESTABLISHED OVERALL ANNUAL DBE GOAL OF 10% FOR FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2001/2002 WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is required to annually develop and submit a Final Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program and Established Overall Annual Goal for DBE participation for DOT - assisted contracts, as a condition of federal financial assistance, pursuant to Title 49 CFR Part 26; Participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Programs; and WHEREAS, in accordance with new DBE regulations, the City of Alameda has developed a narrowly tailored Final Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program and Established Overall Annual DBE Goal of 10% for Federal Fiscal Year 2001 /2002; and WHEREAS, City Council adoption is required to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation federal funding requirements, provisions and financial responsibilities. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Alameda does hereby resolve the approval and adoption of the Final Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program and Established Overall Annual Goal for Federal Fiscal Year 2001/2002, and submission to the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans), on behalf of the City of Alameda, for final approval. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled on the 15th day of January, 2002, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, DeWitt, Johnson, Kerr, and Mayor Appezzato - 5.
