Resolution 13438CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION 13438 ACKNOWLEDGING PLANNING AND BUILDING DIRECTOR, COLETTE MEUNIER FOR HER CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CITY OF ALAMEDA WHEREAS, Colette Meunier accepted the position of Planning Director on April 14, 1992; and WHEREAS, she ably and dependably fulfilled her position during her tenure which included great changes within the City most particularly the closure of Naval Air Station, Alameda, now known as Alameda Point; and WHEREAS, in her capacity she assisted in the planning process of numerous projects including the conversion of the Naval Air Station, Alameda, the conversion and approvals for the Fleet Industrial Supplies Center, the construction of the Lucent Campus, construction of the Wind River Campus, construction of California Heritage Bay, construction of The Gardens, construction of Webster Square, construction of the Elder's Inn, construction of the final phase of Lincoln Properties, completion of Harbor Bay Isle Village V, processing of Marina Cove, continued installation of the Marina Village Trail, the Park Street Visioning, the Webster Street Renaissance and the selection of the Master Developer for Alameda Point; and WHEREAS, she oversaw the move from City Hall to the Historic High School and back © again with patience and competence; and 0 WHEREAS, she provided clear and complete advice to the Planning Board and the Council; and WHEREAS, she accomplished the integration of the Planning Department with the Building Services Division and Enforcement Division and led a staff of 38 with a budget of over $2,000,000; and WHEREAS, she represented the City at Rotary, the Association of Bay Area Governments and the Bay Area Planning Directors' Association; and WHEREAS, she has been guiding simultaneously a General Plan Amendment, a Housing Element and a Specific Plan and the related Environmental Documentation; and WHEREAS, she held herself and her staff to the highest ethical standards. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Alameda extends their thanks for her dedication to her work on behalf of the City, her staff and the citizens of Alameda. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of March, 2002, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, DeWitt, Johnson, Kerr, and Mayor Appezzato - 5.
