GRANTING ANOTHER DESIGNATED PERIOD FOR TWO YEARS
ADDITIONAL SERVICE CREDIT AS PROVIDED FOR UNDER CONTRACT
AMENDMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES'
RETIREMENT SYSTEM, AND CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION
20903
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Alameda is a
contracting Public Agency of the Public Employees' Retirement System; and
WHEREAS, said Public Agency desires to provide another
designated period for Two Years Additional Service Credit, Section 20903,
based on the contract amendment included in said contract which provided for
Section 20903, Two Years Additional Service Credit, for eligible members;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said City Council
does seek to add another designated period, and does hereby authorize this
Resolution, indicating a desire to add a designated period from March 8, 2006
through June 30, 2006 for eligible members in the Senior Utility Accountant
classification at Alameda Power & Telecom, Administrative Services Division,
Financial Services Section; Intermediate Clerk classification at Alameda Power
& Telecom, Administrative Services Division, Support Services Section; Support
Services Clerk I classification at Alameda Power & Telecom, Administrative
Services Division, Support Services Section; Telephone Operator /Receptionist
classification at Alameda Power & Telecom, Administrative Services Division,
Support Services Section; Computer Programmer /Analyst classification at
Alameda Power & Telecom, Administrative Services Division, Information
Services Section; Information Systems Operation Technician classification at
Alameda Power & Telecom, Administrative Services Section, Information
Services Section; Utility Services Manager classification at Alameda Power &
Telecom, Engineering and Planning Division; Electrical Equipment Maintenance
Superintendent classification at Alameda Power & Telecom, Engineering and
Planning Division; Customer Service Representative classification at Alameda
Power & Telecom, Marketing and Customer Service Division; Senior Clerk
classification at Alameda Power & Telecom, Marketing and Customer Service
Division; Marketing Coordinator classification at Alameda Power & Telecom,
Marketing and Customer Service Division; and Engineering Office Assistant
classification at Alameda Power & Telecom, Operations Division, Line Section.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in the regular meeting of the City
Council on the 7th day of March, 2006, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, deHaan, Gilmore, Matarrese
and Mayor Johnson - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
