BE IT RESOLVED 4 THE COUNCIL Oh' TEE OITY OF ALAMEDA that portions of
subsection 9 of Paragraph 2, Section 2, of Resolution No. 5134, be amended to read
as follows:

BE IT FURTHER EESOLVED that seven (7) new positions, namely, 1 Assistant
City Engineer, 1 Right-of-way Engineer, 2 Senior Construction inspectors, 2 Co,
Inspectors, and 1 Junior Stenographer-Clerk, be, and the same are hereby
created and established in the Street and Engineering Department, the salaries for
same to be as hereinabove set forth.
RESOLVED, FURTIT8R, that the incumbents of any positions whose range
(or position) is being advanced by this resolution be, and they are hereby placed
In the same Step number in the new range as their present Step.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the above amendments entail be effective as of
November 16, 1955.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the provisions of this resolution shall seTer-
sede those portions of Resolution No, 5134, and of any other resolution in conflict
herewith, and all such. conflicting provisions are, to the extent of such conflict
