Resolution 05290RESOLUTION NO. 5290 DECLARING PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY REQL!II} THE ACOISITION OF CERTAIN EASE ION? FOR PUBLIC OFF-STREET PARKING PURPOSES. (MAYO AND AMERICAN TRUST CO.). RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AEarsIEDA, and said Council hereby finds and determines, that the puislic interest and necessity require the acquisi- tion by said City of Alameda for use by said City for nubile off-street motor vehicle parking places, including property necessary or convenient for ingress thereto or egress therefrom, an easement lying and heing in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, and more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a point on the northwestern line of Per Avenue, formerly Pine Street, distant thereon southwesterly 131.19 feet from the point of intersection thereof, with the southwestern line ef Santa Clara Avenue; running thence at right angles to said line of Park Avenue, northwesterly 90.42 feet; thence at right angles northeasterly 23 feet; thence at right angles northwesterly 09.68 feet, more or less, to the eastern line of that certain parcel of land conveyed by Tucker Investment Company, a corporation, to Edward M. Shaw., by deed dated February 13, 1925 and recorded March 2, 1925 in Book 953 of Official records, at page 67, Alameda County Records: thence southwesterly along said eastern line of said parcel of land, 12 feet to the southeastern corner thereof; thence at right angles southeasterly 40.10 feet, more or less, to a point distant 118 feet at right angles northwesterly from the northwestern line of Park Avenue; thence at right angles south- easterly 118 feet to said northwestern lino of Park Avenue; and thence northeasterly thereon 11 feet to the point of beginning. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, directed to commence condemnation proceedings in eminent domain for the acquisition of the easement, and that the Mayor be, and he is hereby, instructed, authorized and directed, for and on behalfof said City and its City Council, to subscribe to and verify a complaint in the Superior Court of said Alameda County for the condemna- tion of said easement for public off-street motor vehicle parking places, including property nocessary or convenient for ingress thereto or egress therefrom. * * * * * * * * * * T, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoinm Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of April, 195e, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Haag, Hove, McCall, Moresi and ,'resident Nranelly, (5).
