ADOPTING BUDGEO.7, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF i.IEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
FOR EXPENDITURE OF GAS TAX. ALLOCATION FOR MAJOR CITY
STREETS t1 THE FISCAL YEAR 1956-1957.
WHEREAS, the State of California has submitted a Memorandum of Project
Agreement for the fiscal year 1356-1957, for the expenditure of Gas Tax Allocation
for Major City Streets; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that said Agreement should be
executed; and
WHEREAS, the City Coundil is familiar with the contents of said
Agreement;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL Cr THE CITY CT ALAMEDA
that said project statement be, and it is hereby adopted as the budget of pro-
posed expenditures of gss tax allocation, and that said Memorandum of Agreement
be, and the same is hereby approved, and that tie Mayor of the City of Alameda
be, and he is hereby authorized and. directed to execute said Agreement on. behalf
of the City of Alameda, and the City Clerk is authorized to attest the same.

in regular meeting assembled on the 12th day of April, 1956, by the following
