WHERFAS, there Las beer. submitted to this Council an. agreement. between.
the City. of AlaEbda and. thp Alameda. City Garbago Association, for the collectdon
and removal of :refuse and garbage for a. period of ten (10) years from, February
1956; and
end
WHEREAS, the City Council is frmiliar with the contents of said agreement;
WHEREAS, it is in. the public Interest that said egreembnt should be
entered. into;
Naw RHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMNBIL OF THE CITY OF AIAMEDA. that
said adreement for the collection and removal of refuse and. garbage be entered
into, and that the Mayor of the City of Alameda be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of Alamber„ and the
City Clerk is authorized.. to attest the same.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLY= that upon the execution of said agreement herein-
above referred to, datbd February 1, 11 S6, that the contract heretofore existing
between. the Cfty of Alameda and. the Alameda City Garbage Association, dated july 2d,
1948, an41 . the amendment thereto dbtbd July 16, 1M5d, shall be terminated, cancelled
and rendered of no further effect.
Iv the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly .r.nd regolarly introduced and adoptid. by. the Council of Mae City. of Alameda
adjourned regular meeting assembled en. the 2nd day of May, 1956, by the follow-
