WEIEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Plans for the installation of house laterals, from the street laterals to the
property line, and other work appurtenant t, for the fiscal year ending Jun' 30,
1957, numbered PW 5-56-5 a655 filed ivIth the City Clerk on May 15, 1.056;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications; Special. Provisions and Plane, numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same are herebv . approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work specified
in said Specifications and Provisionn 'be, and the same is hereby', authorized.
RESOLVED, FERTEKa, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids on to the hour of 8:05 o'clock P. M. on Wednesday, June 6, 1956, for the
furnishing to the City of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment neces-
sary for said work, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1957, in accordance with said
Specifications and Previsions. 1d s must be presented. to the City Clerk, in thb City
Hall, in Alameda, California, under' sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside,
"Proposal for Installation of House Laterals", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of said City, tc the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid.
The rignt 15 reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specificatiers and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on
application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star,
a notice calling for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions of this resolution
and of said Specifications and Provisions.
I, the undurgigned, hereby certify thmt the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced err adopted by the Counci l.. of the City of Alariedu
in regular meeting ausembled on the 15th. day of May, 1956, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen. Haag, Rove, McCall, Nbresi and President Kranellyu (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT; None.
