REPAIR OF ASPHALT AND BITUMINOUS FAVEFIEITI FOR THE FISCAL

WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications and Provimirns for
resurfabing and repair of asphalt and bituminous pavement for the fiscal year ending
June 30, 1957, which are numbered 5 5-56-7 arA3. were filed ir the office of the Cfty
Clerk on May 15, i5D5b;
DOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OT 15, CITY OE ALAMEDA thut
the afbresaib. Specificatibns and Rrovisinns numbbred and filed as aforesaid, be,
and the same o are hereby approved and abutted.
RESOLVED., FUR:PIER, that the performance and completion of the work specified.
in. said. Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is herebyT authorimed.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of thw City of Alameda will. receive
sealed bids up to the hour of B:05 o'clock P. DE on Wedwesday, June 6, 1956, Par the
furnishing to the City of all iabor, materials and. equipmunt necessary for resurfac-
ing and rep bituminous pavement in the streets of the City of
Alomube for the fMhcal. year ending june 30, 1_957, in accordance with saib Specifica-
tions and Provisions. aids must be presented to the City Clerk, in thw City hall,
in Alameda. Califbrnia, under sealed cover and . plainly. marked on the outsidb,
"Proposal Repadr of Asphalt and Bituminous Pavement", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awardbd subject to the provisions of the
Charter cf said City, to the responsible bidber who submdts the lowest and best bid.
The right is reserved to reject any or all. bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any '1(0 1T bidder
on application to thb City Engineer, at his orifice in. the City Mall, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to aavertise, in the Aianeda. Times-Star,
a. notice oalidng for sealed bids, in accordance with 15 provisihns of this resoluu
tibn and of said Specificatihns and Frovisdows.
