to construAt, maintain, use and oporawte a. 0.14 1441>' across the 5krt1 . end of Everett
Street, it the CAty of Alameda, to be used to transport material to and from the
shop building situated. on 4141 west side of Everett Street to time fabrication area
on property recently acquired by- the Company on the east side of Everett Street; and
WIEREAS, this installation. will mwterially inarease thA plant wapwcity
both in the output of structural steel and in the number of 1414,,, -41 and
WHEREAS, it appearing to the satisfaction of tho Council that said crane-

its successors and assigns, a permit to construct, ralmtalr use and operate a.
omneway across the north end of Everett Street, in. the City of Alameda, at the
locations shown 'in that certain drawing entitled, "National. Iron WkrMs, Inc.,
Alameda, California, Layout Showing Existing Plant and Properties and Proposed
Alterations, January, 1955', attached to and rade a part of this resolution,
That this permit to construct, maintain, use and operate said craneway
is granted subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. That the wwanewam will be so constwucted that no structure mi)2. be.

2a That the craneway spanning Everett Street will have a mlnimum vertical.
clearance of 13 fet 6 inchs.
3. That in order to provide for the public's safety., a. 6 -foot hlgh chain

north. of Blanding Avfmnue; that tktis fence will be so constructed to provike for
emergensy use by the City. Firw Department, Police Department and other City.
