Code, directing the owner to appear before the Council. of the City. of ACIameda on WedIcesday, Jeeee 6, 1956, at the hour of 60.0 o4olock P. M. and show cause why said building should not be condemned as a public nuisance and. abated as pro- vided in saci.ei Alameda Munlci.pal Code„t and WURI'EAS, it appears that ,,id hotmIce was dmdcy and. regularly even by .posting and mailiacm-;, in the time, form and manner provided by said code, and the matter coming on regularly for hearing before this Council. at. this time, the wit nesses b sworn ..and te2t1 mony being given by the Building inspector 1 1 other competent persons respecting the condition. of said building, and the estimated cost of its reconstruction, repair or removal.; and. the owner of said building being present, in person, the Council proceeded to a consideration of said matter, and after due consideration of the testimony of all witnesses and other evidence presented in said IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND DECLARED, ard the Coll.nci.1 of tte City of Alameda finds that the building or structlxce known and designated as 1911 Schiller Street, in the City. of Alameda California is so dilapidated from old age neglect a's to be a fire menace and breeding place for rodents and. a likely resort. for vagrant or dissolute persons, and that said building is unfit for human. habitation or occupahce, and. that by reason thereof said bulidlng is a public ncuisance; and IT IS FITI7HEF TiESCUIET that the aforesaid building or structure be and the same is hereby condemned a8 a public nuisance, and the owner or owners thereof be, and they are hereby, directed to abate said nuisance within thirty. (30) days from and. after the date of posting o1 . said premises a notice of the passae of said resolutl_on by havIng said building properly reconstructed or repaired, or by having: the same razed cmc cemcved4 and DE IT FORMER KasclvED that if said nuicance be not so abated thm said. bung or structure wi,ACI be razad or removed by the said 1uild..7ng Inspector, and the expense theceof made a lien. on the lot or parcel of and upon. which said. building is 2ocatmd, as provided by Chapter 4,, Title X, of the Alameda Municipal Code; and. Code; and. BE IT FMIETHER RESOLVED that the Building Inspector is hereby authorized ard directed to post and mail copies of this recolution as provided ouid Code.
