PROVIDING FOR EXTRA COMPENSATION FOR ELADIC R. MUZQUIZ,
DEPUTY POUNDMASIER, FOR CITY SERVICE PERFORMED DURING
PART OF VACATION PERIOD
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Article 4, Chapter 5, Title II of the
Alameda Municipal Code every officer and employee of the City of Alameda who has
been continuously in city service for more than one year is entitled to an annual
vacation with full pay during each calendar year; and
WHERZAS, the services of Eladio R. Muzquiz, Deputy Poundrnaster, are
urgently needed during the remainder of his vacation period; and
WHEREAS, said Eladio R. Muzquiz has consented to work for the City during
the remainder of his annual vacation; and
WHEREAS, it is to the advantage, benefit and best interest of the City
that said Eladio F. Muzquiz should work during the remainder of his regular annual
vacation leave, and has been granted permission by the City Manager so to do;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
said Eladio R. Muzquiz shall, in addition to his regular salary or wage, receive
additional compensation for one (1) week worked by him during his regular vacation
period.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall terminate and be of
no further effect after December 31, 1956.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that nothing in this resolution is intended or shall
be construed as repealing or superseding any of the provisions of any salary reso-
lution heretofore or hereafter adopted by this Council fixing the regular salary or
compensation of city officers and employees for ordinary and regular service.
