ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PIANS
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PARKING LOT ON CENTRAL AVENUE
NEAR OAK STREET, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY
CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Spacial Pro-
visions and Plans for the construction of parking lot on Central Avenue near Oak
Street, numbered PW 12-56-25 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on Decem-
ber 4, 1956;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the aforesald Specifications, pecial Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as
aforesaid, he, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work speci-
fied in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same are hereby approved
and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work
specified in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized,
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 735 o'clock n.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 1956, for
furnishing to the City of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment
necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said Specifi-
cations and Provisions. Bide must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall,
Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside,
"Proposal for Construction of Parking Lot on Central Avenue Near Oak Street", or
similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Previsions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-
Star a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this
resolution and of said Specifications and Provisions.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 4th day of December, 1956, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Haag, Hove, McCall, Mores' and President
Kranelly, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
