REQUESTING CANCELLATION OF COUNTY TAXES ON PROPERTY
AC,UIRED BY 71{E CITY OF ALAtEDA FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the following described real property, situated in the City of
Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, to-wit:
American Securities Company, Map Book 70, Block 188, Parcel 2,
Sub 2, 480.55;
Samuel and Lydia A. Lee, Map Book 70, Block 188, Parcel 8, 485.22,
has been assessed heretofore for County purposes for the fiscal year 1956-1957 and
taxes levied thereon in the sum of 41:65.57 are uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEAEAS, after the time said taxes or assessments became a lien on said
real property, it was, end ever since has been, and now is, owned by the City of
Alameda and has been and now is being used for public purposes, and because of such
public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL 00 THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda be, and it is hereby, requested
to make its order, and to take such further proceedings as may be necessary, to
cause all uncollected taxes, assessments, penalties or costs charged or levied for
County purposes upon the aforesaid parcels of real property, to be cancelled; and
that a record of such cancellation be made by the officer or officers having custody
of the record thereof, in accordance with the provisions cf Section 4986 8f the
Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk forward four (4) certified copies
of this resolution forthwith to the Board of Supervisors of said Alameda County.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of December, 1956, by thetfollowing
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Haag, Hove, McCall, Merest and President
Kranelly, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT,- None.
