'RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION
FOR A FEDERAL GRANT FOR SEWAGE TREATMENT WORKS
UNDER TITLE 33, UNITED STATES CODE, SECTION 466,
ET SEQ., FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A COLLECTION
SEWER AND LIFT STATION WITHIN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA,
AND CONFIRMING AND RATIFYING PREVIOUS ACTS OF CITY
MANAGER CONCERNING SUCH APPLICATION
WHEREAS, Title 33, United States Code, Section 466, et seq., provides for
a Federal grant of 30% of the cost of construction of certain sewage treatment works
to municipalities under terms and conditions set cut therein; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Council of the City of Alameda that the
said City qualifies for such a grant and is able to meet such terms and conditions;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the City of alaneda that a collection
sewer and lift station be constructed along the north property line of Estuary
Housing Project;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL 00 THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the City Manager is hereby authorized to make application for a Federal grant for
sewage treatment works under Title 33, United States Code, Section 466, et seg.,
for the purpose of constructing a collection sewer and lift station within the
City of Alameda along the northerly property line of the Estuary Housing Project,
within the City of Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all previous acte of the City Manager
concerning said application for such Federal grant are hereby confirmed and ratified.
