APPOINTiNM MEMBERS OF TEE CITY BEARDING BOARD PURSUANT
TO AMENDMENT OF TEE CHARTER. OF TEE CITY OF ALAMEDA

WHEREAS, on the 6th. day of Novecter, 19:06. the qualified elkctors of the
City of Alameda. -voted umbn and. ratified an amendmpft 1 Article X of the Charter of
the City of Alameda whereby Section 10-E.1 mas addbd theretcy reading as follows,
"bed. 10-4.1. Thk City Plaanning Board. shall. consist of
seven members. Upon nomination af the Mayor, thp Council
shall appoint, between May l and. July 1, of each year, sukh.
members as are necessary to maintain. a. full. Board for termk
commencing on the first day. of July following sukh appoint-
ment and continuing for thspe years and thereafter umtil the
successor of suph member is appointed and qualified; provided,
however, that at such time as this amendment becomes fully
operative seven members shall.. be appointed, two of whom shall
be appointed for the period of one year, two of whom. shall be
appointed for a period. of two years, and three of whom shall
be appointed fkr a peripd of three years., the duration of
said. appointments to commerce on July ,1 next sukcsedirg the
operative date of this amendment; all. succeeding appointments
shall be for a period of three years," and
WHEREAS, on the 26th day of jahubry, 1957, tlp above set out amendment was
approvbd and ratified by the Logisiaturb of the State of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE COUNCIL CY' THE cm' OR ATEMEDA. that
pursuant, to the provisioxs of Articab X of the Chcrter of thk City of Alamodp, as
amended, the folipwirg persons are hereby appointed, effectiyk immediatply, and
upon nomdnktion by the Mayor, az members of the City Planning; Board of the City of
Alameako
