CANCELLING CITY TAXES ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES (TILDEN WAY)
WHEREAS, the following described real property, situated in the City of
Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, to wit:
TAX BILL NO. 11160 CODE AREA 150 ASSESSEE NO. 872
Man 872 1 72E Par 10 Excluding Mineral Rights
Map 872 1 73C Par 13 Excluding Mineral Rights
Map 872 1 73C Par 15 Excluding Mineral Rights
Map 872 1 73C Par 18 Excluding Mineral Rights
has been assessed heretofore for City purposes for the fiscal year 1957-1958, and
taxes levied thereon in the sum of fi1,104.01 are uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the time said taxes became a lien on said reel property,
to wit, on July 11, 1957, said real property was, by Deeds dated January 3, 1957,
(Central Pacific Railway Company and Southern Pacific Company, Grantors), recorded
in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County on July 11, 1957, in Book
8412, pages 501-510 and 511-519 (AM 68327-8), acquired, and ever since has been,
and now is, owned by the City of Alameda, and has been and now is being used for
public purposes, and because of such public ownership isnot subject to sale for
delinquent taxes;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA,
with the written consent of the City Attorney attached hereto, that all uncollected
taxes charged or levied for City purposes upon the aforesaid real property, together
with penalties and costs thereon, be, and the same are hereby, cancelled, and the
Auditor and the Tax Collector of the City of Alameda are hereby authorized and
directed to cancel the same on their respective books.
I, Frank Annibale, City Attorney of the City. of Alameda, State of Cali-
fornia, do hereby consent to the cancellation of any and all uncollected taxes and
assessments and penalties and costs thereon, charged or levied for City purposes
upon the parcels of real property described in the within Resolution.
