REQUESTING CANCELLATION OF COUNTY TAXES ON PROPERTY
ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES
(TILDEN WAY).
WHEREAS, the real property situated in the City of Alameda, County of Ala-
meda, State of. California, described as follows, to wit;

has been assessed heretofore for County purposes for the fiscal year 1957-1958, and
the taxes levied thereon in the sum of $3,095.69 are uncollected and unpaid.; and
WHEREAS, after the time said assessment and taxes became a lien on said
real property, to wit, on July 11, 1957, said real property was, by Deeds dated
January 3, 1957, (Central Pacific Railway Company and Southern Pacific Company,
Grantors), recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County on
July 11, 1957, in Book 8412 of Official Records, at pages 501-510 and 511-519 (AM
68327--8), acquired, and ever since has been, and now is, owned by the City of Ala-
meda,-end has been and now is being used for public purposes, and because of such
public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda be, and it is hereby requested to
make its order, and to take such further proceedings as may be necessary, to cause
all uncollected taxes, assessments, penalties or costs charged or levied for County
purposes upon the aforesaid parcels of real property, to be cancelled; and that a
record of such cancellation be made by the officer or officers having custody of the
record thereof, in accordance with the provisions of Section 4986 of the Revenue
and Taxation Code of the State of California.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk forward four certified copies of
this resolution forth to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda.

and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regu-
lar meeting assembled on the 5th day of November, 1957, by the following vote, to
wit:

NOES: None,
ABSENT: President McCall, (1).
