• RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CLOSE THAT PORTION OF NALNTT
STREET FROM TEE NORTHERLY LINE OF CLEMENT AVENUE TO THE
NORTHERLY TERMINATION OF SAID WALNUT sTREET In THE cm

RESOLVED 01 TEE COUNCIL OF :o: CITY OF ALAMEDA that public interest and con-
venience require, and sold Cpuncil hereby declares its intention to order, the closing
up of that portion of Walnut Street from the northerly line of Clement Avenue te the
northerly termination of said Walnut Street, in the, City of Alameda, County of Alameda,
State of California,
RESOLVED FURTHIEH that no land is deemed necessary to be taken, or will te taken,
for the work and Laprovement of closing said street, and that the exterior boundaries of
the district of lands to te affected or benefitted by said work or hmprovement, and to be
assessed to pay' the damages, costs and expenses thereof, are the corporate boundaries cf
the City cf Alameda; that no lands will be assessed to ray the date ges costs and exenses
of said improvement.
The Street Superintendent of the City of Alaneda stall cause notices of the
passage of this resolution to be conspicuously posted nlong the lines of said contemplated
work and improvement and in the time, form and manner required by law. He shall also
cause a notice, sinnilar in substance, to be published for a period of ten days in the
Alameda Times-Star, a daily newspaper of genera circulation published and ciroulated in
said City, and hereby designated by the said City Council as the newspaper in which seld
notice shall be published.
Any person interested objecting to said work or hnprovement, or to the extent
of the district of lands to be affected or benefitted by- said work or hmprovement, and
to be assessed to pay the costs and exnenses thereof, may make written objectinns to the
same within ten day fter the expiration of the time of the bublication of said r tice,
and deliver said objections to the clerk of the City Council es required by law.

cf street aforementioned, shall be done under and in pursuance of an act of the hegisloture
entitled "An act to provide for laying out, opening, extending, widening, straightening or
closing up in whole or in tart any street, square, lane, alley, court or place within
municipalities, and to condemn and acquire any end all land and property necessary or
convenient for that burpose," approved March 3, 1869, (Stets. 1889, r. 70) and amendments
thereto.
1, the undersigned, hereby- certify that the foregoing Resolution W89 duly and
regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alaabde in regular mpeting
assembled on the 215t day of December, 1.937, by the following vote, to wit;
AYES: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer, Parris and Fresident
Weichhart, (5).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: None.
