RESOLUTION NO. 3423
GRANTING TO THE HARBOR TUG & BARGE COMPANY PERMISSION
TO SUBLET A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY HELD BY IT UNDER LEASE
FROM TEE CITY OF ALAMEDA. d
WHEREAS, under date of July 9, 1942, the City of Alameda, as Lessor,
and the Harbor Tug & Barge Company, as Lessee, made and entered into a lease
agreement, under the terms of which the City leased to the lessee certain. City'
owned lands situate at the foot of Grand Street, in the City of Alameda, and
WHEREAS, under the terms of said lease agreement, the lessee is pre-
cluded from. subletting any portion of the leased premises, save and excepting a
certain portion thereof permission to sublet which is expressly granted by the
terms of the agreement, without first obtaining permission of the City so to do,
and
WHEREAS, the lessee desires to sublet to Hardwood Products Company a
portion of the leased premibes, to-wit, that certain building located thereon and
known as the "carpentry shop", and has requested permission so to do, and
HERAS, it is deemed to be to the best interests of the City of Alameda
that such permission be granted,
00 THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the Council of the City of Alameda
that the Harbor Tug & Barge Company be and it is hereby granted permission to
sublet to the Hardwood Products Company, for the purpose of manufacturing fishing
rods and like sporting equipment, that certain building located on the leased
premises and known as and called by the lessee. the "carpentry shop".
1, the undaraigned, hereby certify that the foregoing olotion was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council cf the City of Alameda
in reguLar meeting assembled on the 19th day of November, 1946, by the following
vete, to wit:

ABSENT: None.
