DECLARING RESULT OF SPEbIAL 1.,. 13.0, ELECTION
HELD IN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA ON NOVEMBER. 5, 1946.
WHEREAS, a specia l. municipal election was held in the City of Alameda
on Tuesday, November 5, 1246, undbr and pursuant to the provisions of Article XIX
of the Charter of said city, and in conjunction with the General State:Election.
of said date, for the purpose of submitting to the electors of the City. of Alameda,
by a referendum, the following proposition:
"SHALI AN ORDINANCE entitled, TAN ORDINANCE AUTHCRIZING THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OP A:PAMELA TO ACCEPT THE SURRENDER OF.
AND TO.GANSEE A LEAST .0F. CERTAIN TIDE AND.SGBYERGEDEANDS
BETWEEN TBE CITY OP ALAMEDA, AS LESSOR, ANE ALASKA .P2C51 T(5
ASSOCIATION, AS LESSEE'; providing for the surrender(and.„
cancellation of a lease of tide and submerged lands exe-
cuted between the City. of Alameda and Alaska Packers Asso-
ciation, a corporation, dated. February 5, 1220, and pro-
viding for the surrender and cancellation of the renewal .
of said lease dated December 30, 1044, BE k. 51340; and
HEREAS, the returns of said Special Municipal Election were made to the
Board of Bubervisors of the County of Alameda under the provisions of law appli-
cable to consolidated elections, and the same ascertained, determined and declared
in all respects and particulars in the time, form and mariner provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the Beard of Supervisors of the County of Alameda, as a result
of its canvass of the votes cast at said election, has determined and declared in
its Resolution numbered 47211, adopted December 3, 1246, that the vote cast for
and against the aforementioned proposition was as 00 082

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY 1 ALAMEDA that
the result of said election, as found and determined by the.Board.of Sdpervimors of
the County of Alameda, be, and the same is hereby, accepted and adopted as the offi-
cial return on said election.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, as a result of the vo
proposition, the Ordinance incorporated therein be, and the
to be duly adopted and paEsed as an Ordinance of the City of

BE IT FURTHES RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
