CANCELLING CITY TAXES ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE ALAMEDA
UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the following described real property, situated in the City of Alameda, County
of Alameda, State of California, to wit:
ASSESSOR'S BLOCK 253, PLATE 39; N line of Santa Clara Avenue, 131.15 feet 6
from E line of St. Charles Street, approximately 29, x 115,,
has been assessed heretofore for City purposes for the fiscal year 1960-61 and taxes and penalty
levied thereon in the sum of S27.03 are uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the time said taxes became a lien on said real property, it was, by Deed
recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County on November 10, 1960, Reel 204,
Image 540, acquired, and ever since has been and now is owned by the Alameda Unified School Dis-
trict, and has been and now is being used for public purposes, and because of such public ownership
is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, with the written
consent of the Acting City Attorney attached hereto, that all uncollected taxes charged or levied
for purposes upon the aforesaid real property, together with penalties and costs thereon, be, and
the same are hereby, cancelled, and the Auditor and Tax Collector of the City of Alameda are hereby
authorized and directed to cancel the same on their respective books.

I, Ralph Reisner, Acting City Attorney of the City of Alameda, State of California, do
hereby consent to the cancellation of any and all uncollected taxes and assessments, and penalties
and costs thereon, charged or levied for City purposes upon the parcel of real property described
in the within Resolution.
