AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT TO COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN STATE AND CITY RELATING TO MODIFICATION OF CERTAIN
EXISTING TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL SYSTEMS
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Resolution No. 7306 adopted April 2, 1968, the City and the State
of California, acting by and through its Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, entered
into an agreement relating to modification of existing traffic control signal systems at the inter-
sections of state Highway Route 61 (Encinal Avenue) with Chestnut and Grand Streets, and at the
intersections of state Highway Route 260 (Webster Street) with Central, Santa Clara, Lincoln and
Buena Vista Avenues; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire that the state's financial participation in said work be
increased, due to rising costs prevailing from the time the original cost estimate was prepared
and construction thereof completed;
NOW THEREFORE, 8E IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the agreement
hereinabove in the recitals referred to be and hereby is amended and modified as follows:
(a) Page 2, line 18, substitute $16,096.49 for
$14,250.00;
(b) Page 2, line 21, substitute $16,096.49 for
$14,250.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to execute on behalf
of the City a modification of said agreement, and the City Clerk directed to attest to same, sub-
stantially in the form of that on file in the office of the City Clerk and marked, "Filed, April 7,
1970."
