RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN MEMORIAM
TO CARL W. JOHNSON, CITY PLANNING BOARD MEMBER
WITH GREAT SORROW, the Council of the City of Alameda records the death of one of its
loyal and civic-minded citizens, CARL W. JOHNSON.
WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson had been appointed as a member of the City Planning Board on June 15,
1965, and was serving as its Vice President at the time of his tragic accidental death; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson had engaged conscientiously and capably in the activities of this
important Board and had always been most cooperative with his associates in this phase of City
responsibility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in recognition of the time and effort so generously
contributed by this fine man on behalf of the City, the Council of the City of Alameda does nereby
express its gratitude fur his faithful service and its sense of personal loss in his untimely passi
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread in full upon the minutes of this
meeting and a copy thereof be sent to the family of Mr. Johnson that it may extend to its members a
sincere expression of sympathy in their bereavement.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that when this meeting of the Council of tne City of Alameda adjourns,
it shall do so in respect to the memory of CARL W. JOHNSON.
