ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR
IMPROVEMENTS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF ATLANTIC AVENUE AND WEST
SIDE OF WEBSTER STREET, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING
CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
improvements on the north side of Atlantic Avenue between Webster Street and Fifth Street and improve-
ments on the west side of Webster Street between Atlantic Avenue and Bethlehem Avenue, No. PW 4-70-6,
and filed in the office of the City Clerk on April 21, 1970;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED 6Y THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the said Specifications,
Special Provisions and Plans, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the performance and completion of the work specified in said Speci-
fications and Provisions be and the same is hereby authorized.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to
the hour of 11:00 o'clock a.m. on FRIDAY, MAY 8, 1970, for furnishing to the City of all labor, materials,
machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said
Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, Alameda,
California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Improvements on the North
Side of Atlantic Avenue and West Side of Webster Street," or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City of
Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best Did. The right is reserved to reject
any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application to the
City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk, is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling
for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications and
Provisions.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
21st day of April, 1970, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Fore, Lonyaker, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (4).
NOES: Hone.
ABSENT: Councilman Levy, (1).
