AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF AGREEMENT WITH GABRIEL-
ROCHE ASSOCIATES TO PROVIDE AN INTERIM DIRECTOR
OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, by its Resolution No. 10393 adopted on July
17, 1984, this Council accepted a proposal of Gabriel-Roche
Associates to provide an Interim Director of the City's Community
Development Department for a three-month period ending October
5, 1984; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to extend said agreement for
the Interim Director to provide ongoing leadership and to ensure
a smooth transition when the permanent Director is selected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Alameda that the agreement with Gabriel-Roche Associates
to provide an Interim Director of the City's Community Development
Department is hereby extended, with the provision that said
agreement may be terminated by the City with one week's written
notice.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify.that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd of October, 1984,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna and President Diament - 3.
NOES: Councilmembers Lucas and Monsef - 2.
ABSENT: None.
