DESIGNATING A COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
SURVEY AREA FOR NAVAL AIR STATION ALAMEDA,
PORTIONS OF THE FLEET INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY CENTER
ALAMEDA FACILITY/ALAMEDA ANNEX, AND RELATED
PROPERTIES
WHEREAS, Section 33310 of the California Community
"Redevelopment Law (Health and. Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.)
provides that a redevelopment survey area may be designated by
resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Alameda desires
that the area hereinafter described be studied to determine if a
redevelopment project or projects within the said area are
feasible; and
WHEREAS, a redevelopment project or projects may be

L, initiated within this area should it be found that such a project
or projects are feasible.
c-) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Alameda does hereby designate as a redevelopment survey
area that area shown on the "Map of Survey Area", attached hereto
- as Exhibit A and by this reference made part hereof, and as more
particularly described in the "Description of the Survey Area",
attached hereto as Exhibit E and by this reference made a part
hereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Alameda hereby finds and determines that said designated area
requires study to determine if a redevelopment project or projects
within said area are feasible.

EXHIBIT B -- DESCRIPTION OF THE SURVEY AREA
The survey area includes:
a. All Alameda property within the Naval Air Station Alameda;
b. All property within the Fleet Industrial Supply Center
Alameda Annex and Alameda Facility that is not located
within the existing Business and Waterfront Improvement
Project Area; and
c. Property owned by the Federal Government at 2900 Main
Street, which is located between the Ferry Terminal and the
Main Gate.
