CITYOFALAMEDARESOLUTIONNO.14884 ENTERINTOANAGREEMENTWITHVERDEDESIGNTOPROVIDE DESIGNSERVICESFORTHEESTUARYPARKRENOVATION,INAN AMOUNTNOTTOEXCEED$174,145 WHEREAS,EstuaryParkiseightacreslocatedonMosleyAvenuenear SingletonAvenue.Thepark'sbaseballfieldandsoccerfieldwerepreviouslyusedby theU.S.NavyandCoastGuard.Theparkandathleticfieldshavelaindormantfor manyyearsandhavefallenintoanunusablestateofdisrepair;and WHEREAS,theproposedrenovationincludesayouthbaseballfield,alighted syntheticturfrectangularathleticfield,playground,parklighting,pathways,pre- fabricatedrestroombuilding,landscapeandgrouppicnicareas;and WHEREAS,theCityofAlamedaissuedaRequestforQualificationstosecurea firmabletoprovidelandscapedesignservicesandVerdeDesignwasselectedaftera comprehensiveprocess;and WHEREAS,fundsfortheEstuaryParkconstructionwillcomefromavarietyof sourcesincludingdonationsandMeasureWW.
