CIC Resolution 00-92COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 00 -92 PREPARING AND PRESENTING THE REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PLAN FOR THE BUSINESS AND WATERFRONT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, SUBMITTING THE REPORT AND PROPOSED AMENDMENT THERETO TO THE CITY COUNCIL, AND CONSENTING TO AND REQUESTING THE CITY COUNCIL TO CALL A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON THE AMENDMENT WHEREAS, the Community Improvement Commission of the City of Alameda (the "CIC ") has prepared a proposed Amendment to the Community Improvement Plan (the "Amendment ") for the Business and Waterfront Improvement Project (the "Project "); and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 33352 of the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.) , the CIC has prepared a Report to the City Council on the proposed Amendment; and WHEREAS, Section 33458 of the Health and Safety Code authorizes a joint public hearing on the proposed Amendment with the consent of the CIC and the City Council of the City of Alameda (the "City Council "). NOW, THEREFORE, THE COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The CIC hereby prepares and presents the Report to the City Council on the proposed Amendment, and hereby submits said Report, together with the proposed Amendment for the Project, to the City Council. Section 2. The CIC hereby consents to a joint public hearing on the proposed Amendment and requests the City Council to call a joint public hearing of the CIC and the City Council on September 5, 2000 at 7:25 p.m. in the City Council Chambers to consider and act upon the proposed Amendment and all documents and evidence pertaining thereto. Section 3. The Secretary of the CIC shall, in cooperation with the City Clerk of the City of Alameda, prepare, publish and mail such notices and documents and do all other acts as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this resolution. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Community Improvement Commission of the City of Alameda in special meeting assembled on the 1st day of August , 2000, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Commissioners Daysog, DeWitt, Johnson, Kerr and Chair Appezzato - 5.
