APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT TO TAXING
ENTITIES FOR THE AMENDMENTS TO THE COMMUNITY
IMPROVEMENT PLANS FOR THE WEST END COMMUNITY
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, BUSINESS AND WATERFRONT
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND ALAMEDA POINT
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 33344.5 of the California Community
Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.), the
Community Improvement Commission of the City of Alameda
(the "Commission ") has prepared a preliminary report for transmittal to the
taxing entities (the "Preliminary Report ") on the proposed Amendments to the
Community Improvement Plans for the West End Community Improvement
Project, Business and Waterfront Improvement Project and Alameda Point
Improvement Project (collectively, the "Amendments ");
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Preliminary Report on the proposed Amendments is
hereby approved and adopted by the Commission.
Section 2. The Executive Director of the Commission is hereby
authorized and directed to transmit the Preliminary Report to each affected
taxing entity.
Section 3. The proposed Amendments to the Community
Improvement Plans for the West End Community Improvement Project, Business
and Waterfront Improvement Project and Alameda Point Improvement Project
are hereby referred to: (a) the Planning Board for its report and
recommendations concerning the Amendments and their conformity to -the
General Plan; and (b) the Economic Development Commission for its review.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
adopted and passed by the Community Improvement Commission of the City of Alameda in a
Special Community Improvement Commission meeting assembled on the 7th day of January, 2003,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Commissioners Daysog, DeWitt, Kerr, Matarrese and
Chair Johnson - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
