AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO SUBMIT AN
APPLICATION TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY FOR A
BROWNFIELDS CLEANUP GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE ALAMEDA
LANDING RESIDENTIAL PROJECT
WHEREAS, in December 2006, the Community Improvement Commission
entered into a Disposition and Development Agreement with Palmtree Acquisition
Corporation for redevelopment of the former Fleet Industrial Supply Center; and

WHEREAS, the redevelopment project, known as Alameda Landing will
consist of 400,000 square feet of office, 300,000 square feet of retail, up to 300

residential units, and a 10-acre waterfront park; and

of varic:1;., contamirmr,ts rendering the property suitable for commercial use, but

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cort-ni,, l'i,:)rovement
Commission of the City of Alameda authorizes trio !rite! Director to
submit an application to the Environmental Protectior, inc 4.3r Brownfields
Cleanup Grant program for the Alameda Landing Residential pi uject.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Community Improvement Commission of the City of
Alameda in a Special Joint Meeting of the City Council and Community Improvement
Commission on the 6th day of October, 2009, by the following vote to wit:
