RESOLUTION NO. 92-60
ADOPTING GUIDELINES FOR EVALUATING
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS AND
REVIEWING PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the California Environmental Quality Act (the
"Act"), Public Resources Code Section 21000 et sea. and the
Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental
Quality Act promulgated by the Secretary for Resources, State of
California, 14 Cal.Adm. Code Section 15000 et sea. (the "CEQA
Guidelines") require public agencies to adopt guidelines for the
preparation and review of environmental documents; and
WHEREAS, the Community Improvement Commission ("CIC")
wishes to adopt local guidelines for evaluating environmental
impacts and reviewing projects which are consistent with the City
of Alameda (the "City") guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the City has adopted environmental review
guidelines for evaluating environmental impacts, reviewing projects
and preparing environmental documents (the "City's Environmental
Guidelines") by Resolution No. 10831 adopted on February 18, 1986,
which are in accordance with the Act and the CEQA Guidelines and
which are amended from time to time as necessary to comply with
revisions to the CEQA Guidelines and related law;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF ALAMEDA hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1. The Community Improvement Commission hereby
approves and adopts the "City's Environmental Guidelines" as may be
amended from time to time, except as modified in Section 2 hereof,
as the Community Improvement Commission's guidelines for
evaluating environmental impacts and reviewing projects insofar as
they apply. A copy of the "City's Environmental Guidelines" is on
file in the Planning Department.
Section 2. Notwithstanding all provisions in the City's
Environmental Guidelines, the term "City Council of the City of
Alameda" and "City Council," shall mean, respectively, the
"Community Improvement Commission" of the City of Alameda and
"Community Improvement Commission".
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Community
Improvement Commission of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 18th day of August, 1992, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Commissioners Arnerich, Camicia, Lucas, Roth
and Chairman Withrow - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
