RESOLUTION NO. 98 -79
APPROVING INTERIM EXPENDITURES PRIOR TO
ADOPTION OF COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION BUDGET
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998 -99
WHEREAS, State law requires that the Community Improvement Commission adopt
an annual budget that contains anticipated revenues, proposed expenditures, proposed indebtedness,
a work program for the coming year, and an examination of the previous year's achievements; and
WHEREAS, as required by State law, the proposed budget is consistent with the
Implementation Plan evaluation by the Community Improvement Commission on June 16, 1997 and
includes all indebtedness to be incurred by the Community Improvement Commission; and
WHEREAS, there will be submitted to the Community Improvement Commission
at the meeting of July 7, 1998, the proposed Community Improvement Commission Budget for
Fiscal Year 1998 -99; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Community Improvement Commission Budget
incorporates several Economic Development priorities; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Community Improvement Commission Budget includes
several principal funds for redevelopment activities including the Business and Waterfront
Improvement Project (BWIP), West End Community Improvement Project (WECIP) and Alameda
Point Improvement Project (APIP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Community Improvement
Commission hereby approves interim expenditures of the Community Improvement Commission
prior to the approval of Community Improvement Commission Budget for Fiscal Year 1998 -99 at
the levels set by Community Improvement Commission Budget 1997 -98 to allow payment of routine
expenses including payroll and vendor expenses at prior year's level.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
adopted and passed by the Community Improvement Commission of the City of Alameda in the
annual meeting assembled on the 16th day of June , 1998, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Commissioners Daysog, DeWitt, Kerr, and
Chair Appezzato - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Lucas - 1.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
