CIC Resolution 99-81CITY OF ALAMEDA COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 99-81 AMENDING COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION (CIC) CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT GUIDELINES TO ENABLE THE CIC TO ACT AS LEAD AGENCY AS DETERMINED BY THE CIC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR WHEREAS, the California Environmental Quality Act (the "Act"), Public Resources Code Section 21000 et sea. and the Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act promulgated by the Secretary for Resources, State of California, 14 Cal. Adm. Code Section 15000 et sea. (The "CEQA Guidelines") require public agencies to adopt guidelines for the preparation and review of environmental documents; and WHEREAS, the CIC, by Resolution 92-60, approved and adopted the City of Alameda (the "City") environmental review guidelines however this adoption did not provide for the CIC to act as "lead agency" separate from the City; and WHEREAS, the CIC now seeks to amend its Guidelines to enable it to assume lead agency in certain projects in the interest of timing and maximum administrative flexibility. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Community Improvement Commission of the City of Alameda, acting by and through its Chair and members, hereby rescinds the previously adopted California Environmental Quality Environmental Guidelines and replaces same with California Environmental Quality Environmental Guidelines, as Amended 1999 in the form attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passcd by the Community Improvement Commission of the City of Alameda in special meeting assembled on the 16th day of February , 1999, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Commissioners Daysog, DeWitt, Johnson, and Chair Appezzato - 5.
