WHEREAS, public interest and necessity require the reconstruction and
relocation of a portion of a stores sewer along the West boundary o Washington
Park; and.
WEEEEAS, the City- Engineer has prepared Specifications, Specie] Provi-
sions and Flans for said work, which. Specifications, numbered PW 5-49-13, were
filed in the office of the City Clerk or Angust 2, 1949;
HOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY aF ALAMEDA
that the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and numbered and
filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work
specified in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby,
authorized.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda. will receive
sealed
b up to the hoo.o of 3:05 o'clock FR R., on Tuesday, August 15, 1949,
1' the corn :honing to the City of AEameda of all labor, materials, nethods and
processes, implements, tools, machinery and equipment, except as otherwise speci-
fied, necessary for the work hereinabeve referred to, in accordance with said
Specifications and Provlsiens. Bids must be presented to the Oity Clerk, in the
City in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and. plainly marked on the
dutside ''Proposal for Reconstruction and Relocation of Portion of Storm Sewer
Along West Boundary of Washington Fark or similar desnignation-
Contract, if awarded, wilil be awarded, subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
are. best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the Cite Hall, Alameda,
Caldfornda.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-
Star, a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this
resolutlon and of said SpecifloatIons and Provisions.
