RESOLUTION NO. 4089
ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL FROVISIONS AND
PLANS FOR INSTALLATION OF A STORM SEWER ON THE
EAST SIDE OF ?EACH STREET AT WASHINGTON STREET,
CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK
TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, public interest and necessity require the installation of a por-
tion of a storm water system on the east side of Peach Street at Washington Street;
and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provi-
sions and Flans for said work., which Specifications, numbered PW 10-49-17, were
filed in the office of the City Clerk. on October 4, 1949;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAYEDA
that the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Flans, numbered and
filed as aforesaid, be, and the sane are hereby, approved and.adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work
specified in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby,
authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council. cf the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up tc the hour of 8:05 o'clock P. M., on Tuesday, Cctober 18, 1949,
for the furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and
processes, implements, tools, machinery and equipment, except as otherwise speci-
fied, necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said
Specifications and Provisiens. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the
City Hall, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked en the
outside "Proposal for Installation of a Storm Sewer on the East Side of Peach
Street at Washington Street, or similar designation-
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Previsions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda,
California.
The City. Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star,
a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolu-
tion and cf said Specifications and Provisions.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 4th day of October, 1949, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Jones, Osborn, Sweeney and President
Branschaid, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
