CANCELLING CITY TAXES 04 PRCPERTY ACqUIRED BY THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the following described real property situated in the City of
Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, to wit
N Lincoln Avenue, 120 feet W 5th Street, W 40 feet,
N 41.53 feet, S.E. 43.50 feet, 5 24.50 feet to be-
ginning, as shown on 1949-1950 tax bill No. 10004
of the City of Alameda,
had been assessed heretofore for city purposes for the fiscal year 1949-1950 and
the taxes levied thereon in the sum of $17.90 are uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the time said taxes became a lien on said real property,
to wit, on Jure 24, 1949, said real property was, by Deeds recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of Alameda County on June 24, 1940, in Book 5028 of Official
Records, at pages 235 and 237, acquired, and ever since has been, and now is, owned
by the City of Alameda, and has been and now is being used for public purposes, and
because of such public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF ALAMEDA,
with the written consent of the City Attorney attached hereto, that all uncollected
taxes charged or levied for city purposes upon the aforesaid real property, together
with penalties and costs thereon, be, and the same are hereby, cancelled, and the
Auditor and Tax Collector of the City of Alameda are hereby authorized and directed
to cancel. the same on their respective books.
HE IT YURTHER RESOLVED, anything in this resolution to the contrary not-
withstanding, that this resolution and order shall not be construed as cancelling,
or authorizin7 the cancellation of, any special assessment taxes levied againnt
said real property by the City of Alameda pursuant to the provisions of the "Ac-
quisition and improvement Act of 1925."

California, do hereby consent to the cancelaation of an and all uncollected taxes
and assessments or penalties and costs thereon, charged or levied. for city purposes
upon the parcel of real property described in. the within resolution.
