ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND
PLANS FOR TEE REHABILTTATION CF STREE!C TREES ON
BAY STREET, CALLING 503 3105 AND DIRECTING. TEE
CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE THE SAAE.
11MTEAS, public interest and necessity require the safety pruning and
specified treatment of 55 Elm trees on Bay Street between San Antonio Avenue and
the south and of Bay Street, and 4 Elm trees on the south side of San Antonio
Avenue, from Bay Street westerly.; and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Parks has prepared Specifications, Special
Provisions and Plans for said work, which Specificatihns, numbered PA 12-49-18,
were filed in the office of the City Clerk on December 20, 1940;
NOW THEREFORE, 3E IT RES8PTED BY THE COUNCIL OP THE CITY CP ALAVEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Flans, numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted-
7WLVE0, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work speci-
fied in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same Is hereby, authorized,
RESOLVED, FURTER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 o'clock F. ;0.. or Tuesday, January 3, 1950, for
the furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and procesees
tools, machinery and equipment necessary for the wor'K hereinabove referred to, in
accordance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bid must be presented to the
City Clerk, in the Cit-ir Hari, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly
marked on the outside 'Proposal for Rehabilitation of Street Trees on Say Street,"
or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will he awarded, subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
and best bid. The right in reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the office of the City Engineer, in the Sit Hall, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk Is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times--
Star, a notice calling for sealed bidn, in accordance with the provisions of this
resolution and of said Specifications and Provisions.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled or the 20th day of December, 1949, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Jones, Osborn, Sweeney and President
T-q-anscheid, (5),
NOES: None.
ABSEWT: None.
