AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF GRANT OF EASEMENT TO THE
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TO BUILD AND MAINTAIN
SUPPORTING BEEK:HEAD IN CONNECTION 57TH TEE FRUIT-
VAIE AVENUE BRIDGE, AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO.
4082.
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda. has an interest in a tract of land situAted.
on the southeasterly side of Versailles Avenue .at its junctien. with the Oakland •
Tidal. Canal, more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING. at the northweeterly corner of Tot 21E,
Tract 520, in thA City of Alameda; thence from said
point of beginning running along the nerthwesterly
310 161100 of said Lot 210 scAth 28* 26' 50" west a dis-
tance of 21 feet: thence leaving said northwesterly
line of Lot 216 north 61* 26 59" east a distance of
21 feet; thence south 61* 34' eaAt a distanAc of 10
feet to the point of beginning, and containing 0,00''
acres of land, more or less; and.
WHEREAS, the said tract of land '' needed as a spAmortieg bulkheaA in
connection with thA Frultvale Avenue Bridge, and The United States of America• has
requested an eaeement for the pArpose of 3' and maintaining a bulEhead on
the site described. above, and public interest and necessity demand the granting
of said easement; and
WHEREAS, a form of Grant of Easement between the C:ty or Alameda and.
The United States of America has been prepared. and submitted. to this Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESCIEED BY TEE COUNCIL OF THE CIEY a:7 AIAMEDA
that the Meyer of 11 11 City be, an0 . he is hereby, autherized and directed to
execute, and the City Clerk to attest, on. behalf of thp City a Grant of EAsement
substantially in the 0 form and containing the terms and conditions set forth . in
the aforesaid form. of Grant of Easement.
BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED that Resolution No. 4082, passed September 20,
1949, be, and the same is hereby, resciAded, and that the Grant of Easement dated
September 21, 1949, executed pursuant thereto, be, and the same is hereby, can-
celled and rendered of no effect.
