RESOLIITION NO. 4135
ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND
PLAYS FOR EXTENSION OF THE PARKING STRIP ON
WEBSTER STREET ACROSS TYNAN AVENUE, CALLING FOR
BIDS An DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE
SAME.
7I1EBEAS, public interest and necessity require the extension of the Park-
ing Strip on Webster Street across Tynan Avenue; and
WHEREAa, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Flans for said work, which Specifications, numbered PW 0-50-15., were filed in
the office cf the City Clerq,:: on June 7, 1950;
NOW, THEREFORE, 9E IT RESOIMED 3Y THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Flans, numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same arc hereby, approved and adopted.
El-SOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work speci-
fled Ln said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby, authorized.
RESCUED. FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 0:05 o'clock P. 1'., on Tuesday, June 20, 1950, for the
furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and processes,
implements, tools, machinery and equioment, except as otherwise specified, necessary
for the work hereinabove referred to, -in accordance with said Specifications and
Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, in Alameda,
California, under seaied cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for the
Extension of Parking Strip on Webster Street Across Tynan Avenue,°.or similar de-
signation.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder en
application to the City Engineer, at his office In the City. Hall, Alameda, California
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City cf Alameda, to the responsible bidder who Submits the lowest
and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or al]. bids.
The City Clerk la hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star,
a notice calling for sealed bids, In accordance with the provisions of this resolu-
tion and of said Specifications and Provisions.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
dr.Jy ard regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the ?th. day of june, 1050, by the following vote,
to wit:
