WHEREAS, public interest and necessity require the alteration of the
Alameda HeaTth Center Building, 2926 Santa Clara Avense; and
SEERESS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provi-
sions and. _dans for said work, which are numbered PS' 9-50-32, and were filed in. th
the office of the City cleTqc on September 5, 1950;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE COUNCIL OF THE CITY 1 ALAMEDA
that Inc aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, nunhored and. filed
as aforesaid, be, and the sane are hereby, approved and adoated,
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and complatimn of tho work speci-
fied In said Specificatimna and Provisionb be, and the salve Is hereby, authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 0:05 o'clock P. M. on Tuesday, September 19, 1950,
for the 11 to the City of Alameda of alG labor, materials, methods and pro-
cesses, tools, machinery amd equipment necessary for the work heroinabove referred.
to, 11 accordance-with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be rresented
to the City Clerk, in the City Nall, im Alameda, California, ander sealed cover and
plainly marked on the ontsidb, "Proposal for Alterations of the Alameda Health
Center," or similardosignation.
Contrart, if awardod, will be awarded subject to tho provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responeible bidder whh submits the lowest
ann best bid- The rizilt is reserved to reject or all bidd.
Said Specifications and Previsions ray be had by any prospective bidder
on application. to ttb office of thb City Engineer, in. the City Hall, Alameda, Cali-
fornia.
The City Clerk 1' hereby directed. to advertise, Ln tha Alameda Times-Star,
a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolu-
tion and. of said Speccations and Provisions.
