RESOLUTION NO. 4260
REqUESTING CANCELLATION OF COUNTY TAXES ON PROPERTY
ACQUIRED BY TEE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR MUNICIPAL
PUBTOSES.
=PEAS, the real property' situated in the City of Alameda, County of
Alameda, State of California, described as fellows, to-wit:

Diablo Base and Meridian; all that portion. of Lot 16 tn. Section.

begins at a point on thn North ling of Lbt 16, 2.5E chains Wst
from the northeast corner of same and running thenue South 20
chains, thence West 5 chainb, thence North. 20 -'3 '1', thence

Drlve lb described in Resolution. No. 353 of the City of Alameda
for "Grant 04' Right-of-Wae, from George C Stephens, et al,
recorded Fgbruary 18, 1925 in Volume 928, Official Records of
Alaneda County, at page 251, and North of a line that deflects
to the left 67* 53' 10" from the East line cf Lbt 17, at thb
point of Intersection therewith; the ssid point of intersection
being on.. the East line of Lot 17, 700 feet South of the North-
east corner of Lot 17,
has been assessed heretofore for county varposes for the fiscal years 1933 to 1951,
inclusive, and the taxes levied thereon are 'c 1' and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the timu said taxes became a Lien on sala real property,
to-wit, on October 3, 195B, said real property was, by Agreement and Conveyance
rocordba in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda Coumty on October 3 1950,
under Recorder's $eries 1E8940Og acquired, and ever since has been, and nEw
owned by. the City of Alameda, and has been and now is being ubed for public pur-
poses, and because of such public ownership is not subject to sale for delirnuent
taxes;
MN, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 113444, 04
that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda be, and it Is hereby, re-
quested to make its order, and to taka su(1 h.. further proceedings as may be necessary,
to cause an =collected taxes, assessments, pehaas or costs charged or levied
for county purposes upon the aforesaid parcels of real. property, to be cancelled;
and thRt a record of such cancellation be a:ade by the officer or officers having
sugtody of the record thereof, in acmordance with. the provisions of Section 4986
of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State '4 California.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk forward four certified copies of
this resolution forthwith to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda.
