RESOILUTIU NO. 4261
ENDORSING THE FORMATION- OP A REGIONAL CIVIL DEFENSE
PLANNING BOARD AND THE APPOINTMENT OF A FULL TIME
STATE EMPLOYEE AS CIVIL DEFENSE COORDINATOR:FOR
MUTUAL AID REGION,NO. 3.
WHEREAS, repnmsentatives of the cities and counties wn Mutual Aid
Region No. 3 of the California State Disaster Council, net on September 27, 1950,
to consider problems of Remional Dmfense; and
WHEREAS, at said meeting, it was agreed that the cities and counties of
said Region No. 3 should establish a. Regional Planning Board to plan, wn exist-
ing Federal and State Civil Pc' is. laws and. policies, for thm civil defense of
said Remion No. 3, and that the Regional Planning Board, when so estandlmhed, shall
request the Governor to appoint, as a State employee, a fIlal time regional_ civil
defense staff officer for the purpose of assisting in thm desblopmont and coordina-
tion of Mans and operbtions for civil defense withim said Region.
LOW, IREBEFORE, BE IT RESOIMED BY TTTR COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AIAMEMEDA that
it endbrses and approves the establishment of the bagional Planning Board afomesaid
and the
