Resolution 04303451 RESOLUTION NO 4305 MEMORIALIZING THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, THE CALIFORNIA TOLL BRIDGE AUTHORITY, THE ASSEMBLY I?' 911 EACT,FINDING COMMITTEE CN TIDELAND RECLAMATION, RELATED TRAFFIC PROBLEMS AND THANSBAY GROSSI-NGS, THE CALIFORNIA CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION ARD THE STATE SENATORS AND ASSEMBLYMEN 0 THE NINE BAY AREA COUNTIES IN THE HATTER OF IMIYEDIATELY UNDERTAKING 'R- ETTJDY OF ThE PHOPOSED MA= PLAN OF CROSSINGS FOR THE SAN FRAECISCO BAY AREA. WHEREAS, in November, 1950, the City. of Alameda, together with other legislative bodies and civic groups in the San. Francisco Bay area, endorsed in principle the plan to have a detailed engineering and financial study of the Master Plan of San Francisco Bay Crossings theretofore promulgated by the San Francisco Bay Area Council made by the California State Toll Bridge Authority and/or the State Department of Public Works or other aprropriate State Agencies as a means of Working out in an harmonious fashion the solution of the Bay Bridge problem; and WI-TREAS, the solution of the Bay Bridge problem is of such urgency to the San Francisco Bay area that it cannot and should not be longer forestalled or delayed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAIEDA, that the Governor of the State of California, the California Toll Bridge Authority, the Assembly Interim Fact-finding Committee on Tideland keclamation, Related Traf- fic Problems and Transbay Crossings, the California Congressional Delegation and the State Senators and AssemblyMen of the nine Bay Area Counties be, and they are hereby, memorialized to immediately undertake the study of the proposed Master Flan of Crossings for the San Francisco Bay Area; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Governor of the State of California be, and he Is hereby, urged to request State and Federal officials to take such ad- ministrative -r legislative action as will make possible the necessary engineer- ing, traffic and financial, studies required for an early decision as to details of the proposed plan, with the provision that, in the conduct of such. studies, officials of .k11 Bay Area Cities affected shall be consulted with respect to approach facilities and other pertinent matters concerning the proposed plan and its relationship to local community problem. the undersigned, hereby certify that Inc foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda In regular meeting assembled on the 1Sth day of January, 1951, by the fallowing vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Anderson, sores, Osborn, Sweeney and President Dranscheia, (5).
