ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISICYS AND
PLANS FOR CONSTRIXTION OF STORM WATER SYSTEM ON
PARD STREET BETWEEN SANTA CLAPA AVENUE AND LINCOLN
AVENUE, CALLING FOFBIDS AND DIRECTING CIT, CLERK
TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WIEREAS, public interest and necessity require the construction of a storm
water system on Paru Street between Santa Clara Avenue and Lincoln Avenue; and
V',1HE,RE,',AS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Plans for said work, which are numbered PW 10-50-33 and were filed in the office
of the City Clerk on April 3, 1951;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY Th -L COUNCIL OP THE CT1fy OF ALAMEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTIRR, that the performance and completion of the work speci-
fied in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby, authorized.
RESOLVED, FURT11EI, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed
1 -ed bids up- to,the hour of 8:05 o'clock P. M., on Tuesday, April 1.7, 1951, for
the furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and processes
tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance
with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk-,
in the City Fall, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on
the outside "Proposal for Construction of Storm Water System on Paru Street Between
Santa Clara and Lincoln Avenues", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
and best bid® The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, In the Alameda Tines -Star,
a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolu-
tion and Of said Specifications and Provisions.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly Introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of April, 1951, by the following vote,
to -wit:
AYE S - Councilmen Anderson, Jones, Osborn, Sweeney and President
Brarschaid, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT.- None.
