SPECIAL JOINT MEETING OF THE ALAMEDA CITY COUNCIL
AND THE ALAMEDA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
MARCH 25, 1996
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Appezzato at 4:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Councilmembers DeWitt, Mannix and President Appezzato

Absent: Councilmembers Arnerich and Lucas - 2.
The City Council and the Unified School District representatives
discussed each of the following subjects:
(96-162A) Joint Work Study Program for Expelled Students.
The background of the matter was reviewed and the Work Study
Program discussed.
(96-162B) Summer Activities for Youth.
Discussion included City's brochure on Summer Youth Activities and
Summer School at Alameda High School.
(96-162C) Teen Center.
Program and location possibilities were discussed.
(96-162D) Base Closure.
Base Closure activities, impacts and potential were discussed.
Adjournment
There being no further business before the City Council and School
District, President Appezzato adjourned the meeting.
