CITY OF ALAMEDA ORDINANCE NO. 2398
New Series
AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING AND REZONING CERTAIN
PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA BY AMENDING ZONING
ORDINANCE NO. 1277 NEW SERIES; APPLICANT: EDWARD F. AND
CELESTINE BRENNAN; R-88-3; THAT PROPERTY LOCATE[) AT 1510
EVERETT STREET.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Alameda that:
Section 1. SECTION ||-| 16 of the Ordinance No. |Z77 N.S. is hereby
amended by reclassifying and rezoning from C-2, Central Business District, to R-4,
Neighborhood Residential District, all property situated within the City of Alameda,
County of Alameda, State of California, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the point on the southeastern line of Everett Street (as said
line of Everett Street is shown on the map hereinafter referred to), distant thereon
northeasterly 87'12 feet from the intersection thereof with the northeastern line of Santa
Clara Avenue, (as said northeastem line of Santa Clara Avenue now exists); running
thence northeasterly along said line of Everett Street 3 4Y2 feet to the most northern
corner of Lot 3, in Block 2, as shown on said Map; thence southeasterly along the
northeastern line of said Lot 3, a distance of 87 feet; thence southwesterly parallel with
said line of Everett Street 341/2 feet; thence northwesterly 87 feet to the point of
beginning.
BEING a portion of Lot 3 in Block 2, as said lot and block are shown on the
map of "Subdivision of the Chipman Blocks, Town of Alameda", filed May 3, |873, in
Book 4 of Maps, page 1, in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County.
Section 2. The above amendment shall be known as and referred to as
Reclassification of Rezoning Amendrnent No. 147 to Ordinance No. 1277 N.S.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its final passage.
